Asendrón is from Bogotá, Colombia, and began his musical journey at the age of 15 as an electric guitarist. Rotten Dead Soul was born in mid-2021 through Asendrón’s vision. He began composing songs and writing lyrics inspired by personal experiences, illness, suffering, and the darkness that surrounded his life. Music became a way to express pain, emptiness, and emotional decay; elements that now define the essence and sound of the band. Before founding Rotten Dead Soul, Asendrón already had a long musical career. For more than ten years, he was a member of the Bogotá-based band Nightales, where he began as a guitarist and later also became the vocalist. Over time, internal conflicts within the band led to his departure. After Nightales, he continued playing with another Bogotá-based band called Sex Beer Gore, a project that remained active until mid-2017, when each member decided to follow a different path. Some time later, Asendrón was invited to join the band Paymon as a guitarist, where he remained for approximately six months before once again stepping away from the music scene. After spending several years away from music, Asendrón left Bogotá, Colombia, and moved to Bucaramanga in search of a new beginning. Within six months, he met Archr at a gym, marking the beginning of what would eventually become Rotten Dead Soul. Archr immediately showed interest in the project and introduced Asendrón to other musicians: Oscarius and Aahinoro. The first rehearsals and meetings took place in a home environment, while the band still had neither a bassist nor a drummer. Months later, Manhum contacted Asendrón after seeing a post looking for musicians in Bucaramanga. Little by little, the lineup began to take shape. Later, another musician helped connect them with the drummer who would ultimately complete the band's formation. Currently, Rotten Dead Soul is working on the production and recording of its first album, The Downfall, a release filled with melancholy, darkness, despair, and a somber atmosphere that defines the band's melodic death/doom metal identity. A NEW ERA For approximately two years, ROTTEN DEAD SOUL went through a significant period of growth and evolution with a lineup that became an important part of the band's history. These years were marked by shared experiences, musical creation, and the continued development of the project's identity. For professional reasons, the founder of ROTTEN DEAD SOUL is returning to Bogotá, bringing this chapter to a close while opening the door to a new phase in the band's history. This new era will feature a renewed lineup based in Bogotá, with Arioth, Rickrizen, and Vhalgor returning to ROTTEN DEAD SOUL, reclaiming their places within the project and bringing back their experience, identity, and history with the band. The new lineup will officially begin its activities at the end of the third week of November, marking the beginning of a new era for ROTTEN DEAD SOUL. With this new lineup, the band continues moving forward into a new creative and professional chapter, preserving the essence and vision that have defined ROTTEN DEAD SOUL while opening a new page in its history.

Asendrón es Bogotano; comenzando su trayectoria musical a los 15 años como guitarrista eléctrico. Rotten Dead Soul nació a mediados de 2021 gracias a la visión de Asendrón; quien comenzó componiendo canciones y escribiendo letras inspiradas en experiencias personales: enfermedades, sufrimiento y la oscuridad que rodeaba su vida. La música se convirtió en una forma de expresar el dolor, el vacío y la decadencia emocional; elementos que hoy definen la esencia y el sonido de la banda. Antes de fundar Rotten Dead Soul, Asendrón ya contaba con una larga trayectoria musical. Durante más de diez años formó parte de la banda Nightales de Bogotá, donde comenzó como guitarrista; posteriormente también se convirtió en vocalista. Con el paso del tiempo, crisis interna dentro de la banda llevaron a su salida. Después de Nightales; continuó tocando con otra banda de Bogotá llamada Sex Beer Gore; un proyecto que permaneció activo hasta mediados de 2017; cuando cada integrante decidió tomar un camino diferente. Tiempo después, Asendrón fue invitado a unirse a la banda Paymon como guitarrista donde permaneció aproximadamente seis meses antes de alejarse nuevamente de la escena musical. Tras pasar varios años lejos de la música, Asendrón dejó Bogotá D.C. y se trasladó a Bucaramanga en busca de un nuevo comienzo. En menos de seis meses conoció a Archr en un gimnasio, marcando así el inicio de lo que eventualmente se convertiría en Rotten Dead Soul. Archr mostró un interés inmediato en el proyecto y presentó a otros músicos: Oscarius y Aahinoro. Los primeros ensayos y reuniones se llevaron a cabo en un ambiente casero; mientras la banda aún no contaba con bajista ni baterista. Meses después, Manhum contactó a Asendrón tras ver una publicación en la que se buscaban músicos en Bucaramanga; poco a poco, la alineación comenzó a tomar forma. Más adelante, otro músico ayudó a conectarlos con el baterista que finalmente completaría la formación de la banda. Actualmente, Rotten Dead Soul se encuentra trabajando en el proceso de producción y grabación de su primer álbum, The Downfall; un lanzamiento cargado de melancolía, oscuridad, desesperación y una atmósfera sombría que define la identidad melodic death/doom metal de la banda. UNA NUEVA ETAPA Durante aproximadamente dos años, ROTTEN DEAD SOUL atravesó una etapa de crecimiento y evolución junto a una alineación que hizo parte importante de la historia de la banda. Fueron años de experiencias compartidas, creación musical y consolidación de la identidad del proyecto. Por motivos profesionales, el fundador de ROTTEN DEAD SOUL emprende su regreso a Bogotá, dando cierre a esta etapa y abriendo las puertas a un nuevo capítulo en la historia de la banda. Esta nueva etapa contará con una alineación renovada en Bogotá, en la que Arioth, Rickrizen y Vhalgor regresan a ROTTEN DEAD SOUL, retomando su lugar dentro del proyecto y aportando nuevamente su experiencia, identidad y trayectoria junto a la banda. La nueva formación comenzará oficialmente su actividad a finales de la tercera semana de noviembre, marcando el inicio de una nueva era para ROTTEN DEAD SOUL. Con esta nueva alineación, la banda continúa avanzando hacia una nueva etapa creativa y profesional, conservando la esencia y visión que han definido a ROTTEN DEAD SOUL, mientras abre un nuevo capítulo en su historia.
